Emebala Chat is a lightweight Windows real-time translation app that runs local Hy-MT2-1.8B through llama.cpp and targets low-spec machines. It supports inline translation as you type and translation of selected text directly on screen, with a quick F9 toggle and Google Translate as an alternative backend. The project targets systems with 4 GB of VRAM or iGPU-only hardware and is being developed toward a broader offline reader. Tests across hundreds of language pairs found greedy decoding at temperature 0.0 performed best; RTL translation and rendering for Arabic and Persian remain areas for feedback. Источник
