Claude can sketch a logo, but getting to a usable mark still takes... - Vibeus
Claude can sketch a logo, but getting to a usable mark still takes a designer’s process. A graphic designer has built a Claude Code skill that starts with research and concept development, then creates and checks the final SVG. They’re unsure whether Opus 5.5 changes this, but a plain request for a logo doesn’t reliably follow a designer’s workflow.
The creator is candid: the results are not amazing yet, and the skill avoids “AI-generated slop” roughly half the time. With a designer’s touch, some outputs can still work for prototypes.
The skill includes a library of 1,400+ real SVG logos. Its maker later explained that these serve as references for logo construction and visual design. The toolset covers SVG checks, 16 px, monochrome, reverse and squint tests, favicon exports, and presentation boards.
The replies surfaced a real caveat: one designer found a near-match to a logo Claude had made for a small converter app. The creator agreed that simple geometric marks can converge, whether AI-generated or not. The skill is still in progress, and its maker is asking other Claude users and designers for feedback.
