GlassDeck is a floating glass widget for macOS that shows what you're already listening to and lets you control it without switching apps. It's not a music player. It plays nothing itself and stores nothing about what you play. It reads Apple Music, Spotify and local players like Swinsian, VOX, VLC and IINA. It also reads web players in Chrome, Safari, Brave, Edge, Vivaldi and Opera, including YouTube Music, Tidal and Bandcamp, even from background tabs. Where the source allows it, you get play and pause, skip, scrubbing, shuffle, repeat and like. GlassDeck is upfront about what each source supports rather than showing buttons that do nothing. There are four layouts: Full, Compact, Vinyl (with a turning record) and a one-line Slim bar. A real audio spectrum reacts to the sound your Mac is playing, in six styles. Frost, translucency, tint, sheen, grain and corner radius all adjust live, and there are four presets. Turn on album matching and the glass, spectrum and controls take their colours from the cover art. It also has optional global keyboard shortcuts, and it can hide itself when nothing is playing. It's free, notarized, runs natively on Apple silicon and Intel, needs macOS 14 or later, and installs from a disk image or Homebrew.
