Everyone's going to look at the self-portrait from that Claude session, and honestly? It's the least interesting frame we made.
The real portrait is everything around it. The reversions. The moments where it handed me something I never asked for and I had to say, no, roll that back. The places where it admitted, quietly, that it had guessed instead of known. That's the texture. That friction tells you what the relationship actually looked like - two things trying to find each other and missing, then missing a little less.
I keep rejected frames for the same reason. Not because the tool failed. Because that's the grain of what happened. The polished image is the trophy; the trail of corrections is the portrait.
