Donald Trump played down the need for his administration to check AI development, while saying the U.S. should not cede its edge over China. During his Ireland trip, he told reporters that some regulation is needed but gave no specifics, and argued that staying ahead could help address the technology's risks. He said the U.S. is leading China and wants to keep it that way: "whoever wins AI wins."
