quick one since a lot of people skip ultracode because of the cost.
you can now pair ultracode with any effort level:
/effort → pick Low → toggle Ultracode on
you still get the full workflow orchestration (multiple agents, verify passes, the whole thing), but the thinking runs at low effort, so it burns way less of your usage.
been using it today for big audits and research runs and it's a nice middle ground.
anyone compared output quality low vs high with ultracode on?

The attached source screenshot shows Opus 5.5 with Low selected, Ultracode enabled and Fast mode off. It does not establish when this combination became available. The quoted post does not include a controlled measurement of usage savings or Low-versus-High output quality.
