Jules Parker ·

A sunset ocean in one 61 KB HTML file. It runs in the browser with WebGPU: FFT wave simulation, whitecaps, a physically based sky with clouds, and sun glitter. The floating camera is controlled with the mouse and WASD; click the canvas to look around, and press H for settings.

Built with Claude Code (Opus 5.5) from one prompt asking for the most realistic water scene possible with a floating camera. The renderer was written from scratch, without an engine or libraries. It captured screenshots of its output and had separate subagents critique them, rather than leaving the same agent to judge its own work. The full build took about 30 minutes.

The demo is free to try, preferably in Chrome. It requires a WebGPU-capable GPU. On laptops, Chrome needs to be forced onto the dedicated GPU; otherwise performance may be poor or the demo may not run. The creator reports about 260 FPS on an RTX 5070 Ti at 2560×1440. The repository also has a more organized, unminified version.
