ActivityWatch
A local-first, open-source time tracker with modular watchers and daily activity summaries and timelines.
ActivityWatch helps you understand how you spend time on your devices while keeping collected data on your local machine. Its modular watchers let you choose what to collect. The project lists watchers for the active application and window title, the active browser tab with its title and URL, and keyboard and mouse activity used to detect when you are away from the keyboard (AFK).
Review activity by day, browse a timeline, and inspect recorded events in the web interface. The official repository shows an activity view across three devices and a timeline of window, browser and AFK events; it also links to the raw data and settings views. The README says users decide how much to collect and invites contributions of additional watchers.
To try it, use the installation instructions and downloads linked from the official site or GitHub Releases, then configure the watchers you want. The project is open source under MPL-2.0. The screenshots in the repository are v0.14.0 examples with demo data.
