Hoppscotch
Open-source API development ecosystem for REST, GraphQL and real-time requests, with collections, environments, team workspaces and self-hosting.
Hoppscotch is an open-source API development ecosystem maintained by the Hoppscotch project and its contributors. It provides a lightweight interface for developers who build, inspect and organize API requests, with a web app, desktop applications and documented self-hosting.
The REST client supports standard and custom HTTP methods, query parameters, headers, authorization and request bodies such as JSON or FormData. Responses can be inspected as formatted or raw JSON, XML, HTML and images. Requests can be imported from cURL or converted into code snippets for multiple languages and frameworks.
GraphQL has a separate query editor with variables, headers, authorization and schema documentation. The real-time tools cover WebSocket, Server-Sent Events, Socket.IO and MQTT. Collections and nested folders organize requests; environments, pre-request scripts and post-request tests support repeatable workflows. Personal and team workspaces, request history and synchronization are also described in the project documentation.
The browser interface can be tried at the official website without installing the repository. Cloud synchronization requires sign-in; SSO is an Enterprise-edition feature. Requests still depend on the target API, its authorization requirements and browser CORS restrictions. Self-hosting and the official desktop, CLI and extension options are documented separately.
The core repository uses the MIT License. The website, source code and self-hosting documentation are maintained by the original Hoppscotch project.
