MarkerOn
Lightweight open-source desktop app for drawing and highlighting over any app on Windows and macOS, with keyboard shortcuts and click-through mode.
MarkerOn is a lightweight desktop overlay for annotating anything on screen. The project README describes selection, pen, highlighter, laser, arrows and shapes, erasing, text and stamp tools, with keyboard shortcuts for common actions. Press Ctrl+Shift+D on Windows or Command+Shift+D on macOS to enter annotation mode; Space toggles the toolbar, and click-through lets you interact with the app below while annotations remain visible.
Whiteboard mode can keep drawings when you leave and copy the board as an image. The repository links Windows and macOS builds through GitHub Releases and also lists the Microsoft Store. It describes MarkerOn as free and open source and says the app has no telemetry.
The repository lists Tauri v2, Vue 3, Vite, TypeScript, Canvas API and Rust in its stack. The latest release shown on GitHub is v2.11.1.
