WBO
Free collaborative whiteboard for drawing, teaching and diagrams. Share a board link, see edits in real time and self-host the full Node.js application under AGPL-3.0-or-later.
WBO (Whitebophir) is an open-source collaborative whiteboard. Multiple people can draw on one large board in a browser and see each other’s changes in real time. Drawing tools, shapes and text support diagrams, lessons, sketches and visual planning. The server stores boards as SVG files.
You can try the official service or run your own instance. A board link alone is not identity-based access control: with JWT authentication disabled, anyone who knows a valid link can open the board and edit it when writable. Self-hosting includes configuration for authentication, reverse proxies and storage. Back up the history directory; asynchronous saving means a crash can lose recent edits, and one server process is supported per history directory.
Created by Ophir LOJKINE (lovasoa) and contributors, under GNU AGPL-3.0-or-later. The verified source is version 2.18.31, revision 919d782a40e7cbdb62dff6f9445da93ff3b45d5e. Upstream recommends Node.js 26; package.json sets a minimum of 22.23.4. The documented source setup installs production dependencies with npm ci --omit=dev, then starts the server with npm start. Docker configuration is also provided. No installation, deployment or local runtime test was performed for this listing.
